• आर्मी भर्ती के लिए अभ्यर्थी को शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से स्वस्थ होना चाहिए।
• उम्मीदवार की छाती अच्छी तरह से विकसित होनी चाहिए और कम से कम 5 सेमी फुलाने की क्षमता होनी चाहिए।
• अभ्यर्थी को दोनों कानो से अच्छी तरह से सुनाई देना चाहिए।
• उम्मीदवार की दूर दृष्टि 6 /6 होनी चाहिए अथवा चिकित्सक की आवस्यकता अनुसार होना चाहिए।
• सेना में भर्ती होने के लिए उम्मीदवार को कलर विज़न नहीं होना चाहिए।
• दांत स्वस्थ और पर्याप्त संख्या में होने चाहिए और कम से कम 14 दंत पॉइंट्स होने चाहिए।
• आवेदक को नॉक नी, बाओ लेग, फ्लैट फुट नहीं होनी चाहिए।
• हड्डियों की विकृति नहीं होनी चाहिए।
• अण्डकोष-वृद्धि (हाइड्रोसील) नहीं होनी चाहिए।
• आर्मी में भर्ती होने के लिए उम्मीदवार को बवासीर, हाइड्रोसील, वैरीकोसेल जैसी बीमारी नहीं होनी चाहिए।
• स्थाई टैटू सिर्फ बाजू के अंदर के हिस्से, कोहनी के निचले हिस्से से कलाई तक एवं हथेली के पीछे हिस्से पर ही मान्य है। शरीर के किसी अन्य हिस्से पर स्थायी टैटू स्वीकार्य नहीं हैं और उम्मीदवारों को आगे चयन से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया जाएगा।

1. A candidate should have a robust physique and good mental health.
2. The chest should be well developed having a minimum of 5 cms expansion.
3. We should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP – III (able to recognize white, red, and green signal colors correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at 1.5 meters).
4. Should have a sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.
5. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocele or piles.
6. Soldier General Duty for Infantry should have 6/6 eyesight.
7. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms i.e From the inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection.
